11861 "DRINK!"
What's a tasty, healthy, drink I can consume throughout the day that won't rot my teeth or leave me shaking like chilly coke fiend from all the caffeine?

Also you should know that the file size limit just prevented me from uploading a very erotic .gif of that girl from Misfits.

As long as you use a straw, a bottle of Coke isn't all that bad for you in moderation. I drink a lot of Irn Bru that way and I've never even had a filling.

Acid drinks do erode the enamel, but it's starch which rots your teeth m8.

It's pretty pathetic but I don't have a problem with smoking, drinking or anything like that, but fizzy drinks. Literally can't stop the buggers.

Anyway, if you're anything like me, try getting those innocent fizzy waters. It tastes amazing, it's got barely any sugar in it, and it's just carbonated water with fruit in it (one of your five a day), yet it is comparable to drinking a really refreshing sprite. It's absolutely lovely. Would 100% recommend.

Away from that, I drink a lot of peppermint tea and other fruit flavours.

I can't stand normal tea, or coffee, but I love fruit tea for some reason

First time I tried this I nearly shit myself inside out. Stomach cramps and everything. Bizarre effect for a drink to have.

OP here, I cut them out long ago because of the horrendous amounts of sugar.

You can't drink something with 66% of your daily allowance of sugar in it "in moderation".

>>11868

Are there low sugar fizzy drinks? I've been drinking a lot of sparkling water lately, but it tastes like crap once it goes flat.

I really like fizzy water with about half a teaspoon of salt and about half a lemon's worth of juice squeezed in. It's very refreshing on hot days.

I get those no-added-sugar dilute squash concentrates. No calories, no sugar, and makes water have some flavour.

Tesco (and presumably the rest of the supermarkets) do those flavoured sparkling waters that are cheap as fuck and have no or low sugar. I'd recommend them, especially when they're proper cold, they're great.

Genuinely interesting you say that lad. Peppermint tea is known for it's digestive qualities, in the sense that if you have a bad stomach, it will calm it.

I have quite a weak stomach and if I ever have one of them it calms it straight away, weird how you had the complete opposite.

>>11870
I go with what it says on the box.

>>11871
Not really mate. Even if you get low sugar fizzy drinks, they're still terrible for your insides and still erode your teeth. If you're like me and can't stop the fizzy rubbish you won't find an easy route. You either cut it out or don't.

These are the drinks I'm talking about by the way. I can't seem to find them in anywhere that isn't a train station Sainsbury's though, so if you do know where to get them, please let me know.

Those Innocent bubbles things are great, but like you, I've only ever see them in Sainsburys. And those cans are about £1.30 a pop, not great value, even for Innocent.

I weaned myself off pop with sparkling water, but then again I quite like drinking water, so it was more about just kicking the sugar habit for me. If you need flavour then maybe try one of those fruit infuser thingies, or just squeezing lemon and/or lime into it.

You sure this wasn't food poisoning caused by something else? Food poisoning can take up to three days to kick in.

Try fizzy water and orange juice. Should taste like fanta.

No-added-sugar doesn't mean it doesn't have natural sugars m8. They rot your teeth just as well as artificial sugar.

OP here, I bought some flavoured sparkling water from Asda, one Blackberry and Elderflower and a Lemon and Lime one. They're both low sugar, but I think they're full of artificial sweeteners. Which I wouldn't mind but they're horrendously syrupy. Maybe they need booze.

Also the Blackberry one leaked all over my bag so that's gotta go in the wash now.

Great. We can make this a controlled experiment then. Just drink nothing but each one of them until you die and we'll see which one kills you first. The statistics are sound.

Whack them in the freezer for a bit, once they're ice cold they're much less syrupy.
