My application for an MA programme has been read, and now someone from admissions wants to give me a ring to chat before making their decision.

This could mean anything, but I have the feeling it's because there are some gaps in my application I'll need to fill in. Am I correct, or is this just standard procedure? Perhaps there's another reason I've not considered?
