So here i am, me a guy from russia, studying in a local university.
Our professors keep telling us about some exchange progs and whatnot, i heard something about Kazakhstan, Korea, China, Germany, USA, France and even Japan. not sure about GB tho.
so is it worth it to try that exchange program and will i be fine in Germany if i know only english? (my german knowledge is enough to say HI, nothing more)
btw if you want to learn about my/russian uni's and possibilities for exchange (consider exchange to Russia as sort of extreme vacation, lol), i'll be glad to provide some info.
As a teenager I went on several exchanges to 'Germany', each for only a week. Most Germans I met spoke superb English and even those that weren't fluent had no trouble communicating in basic terms. Rural areas may well be a different matter, but I imagine that in a university town you'll be fine.
>>5562 >Why the quotes around Germany? Are you suggesting that it wasn't really Germany, that the teachers lied to you?
He was a victim of "Sex, Snow and Suspicious Parents". Now he just doesn't know what to believe. He half imagines the whole week was spent on a dry ski slope in Stoke on Trent while BBC interns kept him full of Jagermeister and blew fake snow on him.
