6041 grow diary
Thought I'd post a diary of my current grow. Forgive the current setup, I will post some pics from previous efforts. Its just I'm starting back out with not a penny so I'm not getting the full set up on the go until all the cuttings are ready.

I will be using 4 x 600W lights for this one.

Btw I "topped" this plant. Which basically means chopping the top of it off. When you do this the growing tip that has been removed will develop into two separate growing tips so you get a bush shaped plant as opposed to the natural Christmas tree shape.

Right I've committed a mortal sin and changed to the iPhone. Pics of the almost final setting will be coming very soon.

Careful lad, the iPhone has some really shit default privacy settings and it's easy to accidentally leak photos if you're not careful:

He's mentioned he's an open source user, so he should load the pictures onto a linux computer and run "jhead -de filename.jpg" on each photo. Could probably do the whole lot in one command using wildcards.

Well I'm going to post some test pictures shortly after what I've read about the iPhone. Sure I will be ok but you can't be too careful eh? No major developments anyway really, just potted the cuttings up into eleven litre pots having skipped the usual six litre interval pot.

Just got round to posting again. Had a few things to do this week.

I have potted all my cuttings up and have got them vegging, went straight into 11 litre pots and ordered another light to be delivered monday. Once this comes, everything will be st up in its final form.

Wow what a revelation that is.

Only an amateur has a boiling hot grow room. I myself pipe my exhaust from my fans up the chimney stack. Currently the temp in there is about 28 degrees, so all a helicopter would see is something akin to a toasty living room.

I'm not even interested in the weed growing debate, but just out of curiosity, do you think anyone honestly keeps their living room at 28C? That seems mighty fucking hot to me.

It is a bit warm but not overly so.

Also, thermal imaging cameras cannot see "through" the glass, they can only sense the temperature of the outside of the glass.

So if one were to set up a room within a room, with the pocket of air between the two walls cooled to normal room temperature, the inside would be invisible no matter how hot is was?

Indeed it would be.

When a thermal imaging camera looks at glass, it can only "see" the surface of the glass and not the interior.

And if you were to do what you propose, then you would be safe as houses. But remember, that heat has to go somewhere, so you have to vent it somewhere appropriate. That is why I vent mine up the chimney stack as this certainly does not look out of place and as the exhaust air mixes with the cooler air, it looks less jailbait when it exits the chimney.

It's getting rid of the heat that is the problem. When I used to grow at home at my flat I would vent the grow room air into my bedroom to save on heating bills. This is a very effective way of solving the heat problem, and also helps financially. You have less waste this way as you are making use of the heat that you would otherwise pipe straight out of the window.

28C is very warm room temp for this country. 25C is considered 'room temperature' in science but it is commonly accepted this is only accurate for rooms in somewhere like California.

I have still only used two of my 600's for this grow as well...

It's time to really get my arse in gear, I've got a load of well rooted cuttings all ready to go. I have been keeping them in very low light conditions in the kitchen (by low light I mean as in for photosynthesis conditions) so that they will sit quite happily dormant. I wish I had labelled them though, because one of the plants that I have taken cuttings from, I am not one hundred percent happy with her genetics so I don't wish to clone her anymore. newchap error as well. Being honest, it's not even an error, it's plain and simple being a lazy, stoned cunt and not being arsed to get labels and a pen and be all pro lol.

I will get some pics on soon of the new little ones. Right now I am going to smoke a fat one of my product. You might be wondering how I will be doing so so soon after cutting down; here is a tip for those of you that may need to fast dry some weed. This works for bigger amounts as well.

I am sure that many of you have tried to fast dry some weed off your plants when desperate. I know I fucking have anyway! In the past, when I was a noob, I have used hairdryers, car heater/blower, tumble driers, microwaves and fucking all sorts. All of these methods are shit by the way. The very best way to fast dry weed, and by fast I mean very fast as opposed to the other methods available is to do either of the following, depending on how desperate.

We will start with very desperate. Pre-heat an oven to about 150C, and get your bud finely cut. Don't go too mad, not too fine or it will maybe dry too much. Set a timer for 8 minutes and put it in the oven on a plate.

If you are not quite as desperate then this way has the same effect as the above, but the taste and quality are much, much higher. Put the oven on full fucking whack, and leaving the oven door open, leave your bud in there whilst proceeding to boil the kettle and make a cup of tea. Then go and watch Jeremy Kyle, and then once Jeremy has slagged three people off being evil cannabis smokers, go and check on how it's doing. How you want to do this is by weight, because it may still be damp on the inside but crisp on the outside. If you're a smoker anyway you will get the hang of it. It's not rocket science.

You can do this with bigger amounts in an emergency. I dried out a full box in the oven once because I had to really get it out of the door, and then got busted the day after I had sold it.
